TITLE: Packaging Operator
REPORTS TO: Packaging Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Seeking a hard-working individual with interest in the brewing industry to operate and maintain canning line and bottling line packaging and general movement of beer and associated materials throughout our production brewery located at 111 Marble Ave NW. This is a full-time position with full benefits eligibility.
Operation and maintenance of bottling and canning line including carton packer and can depalletizer.
Ensures packaging assistants receive proper training and follow all SOP’s and safety polices.
Develop and maintain SOPs for packaging operations, including safety, CIP, and general operations.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve quickly without help and quickly communicate issues to management in a timely manner.
Work closely with cellar and brewing departments to ensure smooth product flow and the timely completion of the production schedule.
Stage packaging materials the day prior with a clean workspace, proper tools and necessary supplies to ensure a successful production run.
Assist with inventory control and periodic cycle counts.
Ad hoc tasks as assigned by production manager.
Minimum high-school diploma, additional education preferred
At least one year of experience in a production/packaging brewery.
Prior experience operating forklifts or powered industrial trucks; certifications a plus
Prior safety training a plus; willingness to complete OSHA 10 hour general industry safety course
Ability to complete repetitive tasks for 8-10 hours per day.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including occasional overtime and/or nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds repetitively.
Must have attention to detail, organization and time management skills and be able to follow clear directions.
