JOB TITLE: Packaging Assistant

REPORTS TO: 111 Brewery Production Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Packaging Assistant is responsible for assisting with both packaging and cellaring operations at the 111 brewery in such a way as to facilitate maximizing production of high-quality craft beer.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a team-oriented position that requires the employee to work independently as well as a part of a larger team. The Packaging Assistant will follow the weekly production plan and will communicate constantly with the 111 Production Manager and the Packaging Operators to package the correct beer on time and with high quality. The Packaging Assistant will be able to adapt quickly to changes in production scheduling and will be able to operate multiple types of complex machinery such as bottling and canning equipment, pumps, powered industrial trucks, and other equipment necessary to the production of high quality, packaged craft beer. This job works on a schedule of four 10-hour days which may not be consecutive and which will involve early morning and/or late-night hours, including some weekend work.

REQUIREMENTS: The Packaging Assistant should be able to lift, and be comfortable lifting, 50-pound bags of grain, cases and kegs of beer and boxes of supplies, be proficient in operating powered industrial trucks (automated and manual pallet jacks, forklifts) and in using a hand truck and to lift heavy objects on a regular basis and standing for extended periods.

JOB TITLE:  Sales Director

SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Sales Director is responsible for managing all facets of the Marble Brewery wholesale business in all states in which Marble distributes products and for the professional development and execution of the Marble sales team/direct reports.  Inherent in this responsibility is setting and representing the standard of excellence in sales, leadership, management, communication, training, development, and character for the entire organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:  This is a self-directed position that requires the employee to efficiently accomplish the primary objectives independently and with very little day-to-day supervision.  This job does not require set hours and the schedule may vary widely day to day and week to week and includes some travel in addition to evening and weekend work, including festival and special events. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The Sales Director should be able to lift and be comfortable lifting, cases, and kegs of beer, setting up and breaking down festival canopies and folding tables, using a hand truck and lifting heavy objects on a regular basis, and standing for extended periods doing repetitive tasks such as serving beer and answering questions about Marble Brewery and its products.

JOB TITLE: Taproom Assistant Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a full-time position managing employees, guests, sales of beer and merchandise, and the taproom facility itself in a way that reflects Marble Brewery culture and which requires the employee to efficiently accomplish the primary objectives independently and with very little day-to-day supervision. This job requires a flexible weekly schedule of 40-50 hours per week, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, as necessary, as well as festival and special events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Taproom Assistant Manager must be able to stand for extended periods, be able to negotiate a crowd of beer drinkers, be good with people and be capable of independent thought and communication.

REPORTS: All Taproom employees, including security and door personnel, bar backs, beertenders and maintenance or custodial staff.

 

 

JOB TITLE: Packaging Director

REPORTS TO: 111 Brewery Production Manager

SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: The Packaging Manager is responsible for leading the packaging team in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting all packaging equipment at the 111 Brewery as well as overseeing and facilitating the training and maintenance of that equipment. The Packaging Manager is also responsible for assisting with production planning in such a way as to facilitate maximizing production of high-quality craft beer.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

●  Direct the 111 Brewery packaging team to safely and efficiently operate the 111 Brewery canning line and associated machinery. Troubleshoot faults in the packaging equipment as necessary.

●  Work with the 111 Production Manager to develop and communicate the

weekly packaging schedule based upon distributor and taproom needs. Delegate appropriate responsibilities to the Packaging Lead and Packaging Operators. Communicate raw material needs with Inventory Manager.

●  Train the Packaging Assistants to perform the roles and responsibilities of their job, including training on the organization and use of all necessary checklists, equipment, cleaning procedures to be performed before and after each packaging run, warehousing of finished beer and the documentation of necessary tasks in Ekos.

●  Document operation procedures for all packaging equipment and keep such documentation up to date as equipment changes. Work with Facilities Manager to diagnose/ prevent potential problems and maximize equipment up-time.

●  Role model organization and cleaning of packaging areas of the brewery to facilitate a clean and safe working environment and participate regularly in safety training.

●  Work with the Lab and Quality Control Technicians to identify and manage quality trends displayed in laboratory results and to identify and address root causes of quality issues in packaged beer.

●  Utilize the Ekos brewery management system as well as physical logs to document transfers and packaging of beer. Utilize GroupMe app to facilitate effective communication across the entire brewery Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

●  Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment and operating packaging machinery.

●  Ability to follow procedures and document all steps in the packaging process.

●  Ability to work independently and also in a team environment.

●  Ability to think critically and solve problems.

●  Objective-oriented, focused, individual who needs little direction or

supervision; energy and enthusiasm are critical.

●  Excellent planner and organizer.

●  Technology proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and comfortability using

database and spreadsheet applications.

●  Excellent communication skills.

SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: The external and internal appearance of Marble’s public spaces is a reflection of Marble and its employees. The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the assigned Marble taproom and related facilities in a professional manner. The Custodian must be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the taproom in time for opening for service in a way that supports the taproom staff in providing guests and visitors with a high-quality experience that enhances the Marble brand.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a part-time position working in a bar environment. This position requires the employee to perform repetitive physical work such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping as well as the ability to follow verbal or written instructions and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. The Custodian must be able to squat, twist, bend and kneel while using tools and performing assigned tasks. This job requires a fixed weekly schedule of ___am to ____am seven days per week.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Custodian must be able to stand for extended periods, be able to move furniture and cleaning supplies and equipment, be able to sweep and mop, be good with people and be capable of independent thought and communication.
